Germany

Even though PREMA was developed for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME) in “developing countries”, today called the Global South,  and for development cooperation, Germany was the starting point for PREMA application in an industrialized country, now called the Global North.

Responding to the initiative of the local Agenda 21 office, a one year programme was implemented by the Agenda 21 Office in Wolfenbüttel and financially supported by the Niedersächsisches Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kultur. The successful project was replicated in Braunschweig, supported by colleagues from the Technical University of Braunschweig, which also generated several diploma studies and shorter PREMA courses which trained students to identify NPO in SME and develop tangible measures to minimize them.

This is documented by a brochure, case studies  and a video from PREMA In Germany and Algeria . (to be uploaded)
